As an avid reader and aspiring writer, Annalise hopes to focus her spare time on creative pursuits – in particular, running the Pigmented Prose market and writing poetry and children’s books. She takes inspiration from the Romantics poetry, preferring sonnets and emotional lamentations. Her prose can be a mixture of dark, thought-provoking psychological pieces and recently she has enjoyed exploring comedy in children’s writing. The themes of her writing for children explore identity, neoro-diversity and fantasy in Australian settings.
